I have shutdown all but windowsprocesses and services, graphic set to best performance, and basically followed the guide for optimising Windows to play nice. When I try to record, I can see the waveform being generated, but when I press stop (or more likely I get the HW buffer error) the waveform disappears and I am left with an emty shaded area where I had recorded. All this is happening on ONE track with NO effects during playback. I pull up the system usage window and I get this:Īlso on my system Task Manager, CPU never goes abov 7%, so it doesnt LOOK like things are being taxed beyond limits. I have tried all buffer settings from 64 - 1024, and every combination of processors and percentage all with the same results. Also, please use the same USB port as much as possible.I seem to be suffering with the ever popular HW Buffer error. Please refer to the following FAQ and if you have more than 10 devices registered, please limit the number to 10. This is not caused by the Korg USB-MIDI Driver. This is why the device itself is not recognized even if it is powered from the USB port. The reason why you cannot use more than 10 MIDI devices is due to the specification of the Windows Driver.Įven if you use the same device, every time you change the USB port, the Driver will be installed and counted towards the 10 device limit. Maybe it's time to give up and go buy your gear from Arturia or Novation or Akai? Arturia has really good software support. Hey Korg! Windows 10 is not Windows 7 !! Hello !!? They think Windows 10 has the same 10 device limit that Windows 7 had. Here is the reply from Korg, it seems they are confused about the ability of Windows 10 to host more than 100 USB MIDI device ports.
